Dr. Chris Thompson, DC is a National Board Certified Chiropractor with a private practice in Weaverville, North Carolina. Dr. Chris Thompson specializes in non-surgical treatment of neck and back pain.
After serving my country in the U.S. Navy I decided that I want to go into the field of helping people live a more vibrant, dynamic lives and I decided that being a chiropractor was the way to do it.
So here is my story: Prior to relocating to Weaverville, NC (less than 10 minutes North of Downtown Asheville), I directed a private practice setting in Spruce Pine for 17 years. During that time he developed a comprehensive therapy program that utilizes several modalities. This integrative approach has proven successful in providing relief from chronic pain and acute injury and re-educating the body to optimal performance. While in Spruce Pine, I was in the Kiwanis club, an organization that builds stronger communities, for 12 years holding many positions including Club President.
During my 17 year career, I played a key role in the treatment of various spinal disorders: intervertebral disc protrusions, cervical and lumbar sprains and strains, disc degeneration just to name a few, as well as shoulder rotator cuff tears and sprains, repetitive overuse of wrist injuries, and sprained ankle injuries.
I have provided presentations for various groups on assorted medical problems and the natural solutions for over-coming them, as well as, how to over-come neck and back pain without the use of drugs or surgery.
I am member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. I have also served as President of the Western District of North Carolina Chiropractic Association, as well as, the Blue Ridge Chiropractic Association.
I specializes in helping those who suffer from neck, back, shoulder pain to return to activity without surgery through specialized active rehabilitation techniques, as well as, traditional gentle effective chiropractic care.
